Tips for your child's safety

It is important that a child feels very safe during their upbringing, wherever they are. This is of course just as important for your feeling as a parent. You prefer to always know where your child is, whether you are there or not. As soon as your child goes outside you are concerned. Not only because your child is out of your field of vision, but you can no longer see who is with your child.

Don't be afraid to hold your child's hand

Many parents regularly just want to let their child loose to get used to it. This can often result in unpleasant situations where you lose sight of your child

Provide a safe living environment

Move around the house at crawling height with your baby. What will you encounter, what will your child be able to access? Also consider plants, cat litter and blind cords.

Think forward. What is the next harmful substance for your child? For example, make sure that all cleaning products are out of reach. Stair gates must also be installed before you can enter the area

Let your child sleep safely

Your child still sleeps for a large part of the day. It is therefore important that this is done safely.

Always let your child sleep in its own bed. This will be a familiar environment, where the child can sleep well. Constantly changing beds has no good consequences for this.

Always make sure your child sleeps in a room with the right temperature. Of course, you don't want your child to catch a cold or get too hot. It is also important to have healthy air where your child can breathe freely. There are many things involved in a healthy sleeping environment, so it is wise to always let your child sleep on his back. When a child lies on his stomach, he may experience breathing problems. The child can also move more easily and get under the covers.

Regularity is also very important. Let your child go to bed and get up at a fixed time. Then follow a fixed ritual, such as washing, urinating and brushing your teeth.

Make sure your child stays healthy

Safety and health go hand in hand. So make sure your child can exercise during the day. Then he will sleep much better at night. During the day your child can enjoy sports, football or dancing. This keeps your child nice and fit. Rest before going to sleep is important. Screens are therefore not recommended at that time.
